Obituary for GARNER

Ralph A. Garner, 78, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 after a courageous battle with kidney cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Margie; his son, James; his daughter, Janet and her husband, Darren; and his two adoring grandchildren, Amber and Elena. Ralph retired from ATSF Railroad after 45 years of service. As a machinist for the railroad, he was fascinated by all things mechanical. During the Korean War, Ralph served in the US Navy on the destroyer USS McDermut. He had an entrepreneurial outlook and great business sense. After retirement, he became interested in collecting small trains, model vintage cars and he ran a small embroidery business. Friends may visit French ~ Wyoming Chapel on Friday, January 28, 2011 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 29, 2011, 10:30 a.m., also at French ~ Wyoming Chapel. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Lovingly Pre-planned at FRENCH 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE (505) 823-9400
