Obituary for VIGIL

Ruben Vigil, 93, a long time resident of the Albuquerque area died surrounded by his family on January 20, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Rosie Chavez Vigil of Albuquerque; son, Rudy Vigil and wife Loretta; daughters, Viola Gurule and husband Harold, Dedie Marquez and husband Gabe, Yolanda Alvarado and husband Albert, and Lucille Baca all of Albuquerque; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Albin Vigil and wife Ida, John Vigil, Gilbert Vigil and wife Viola, and Filimon Vigil; numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his special friend Jack Edmondson, and special friends from the Aspens. Rosary will be recited at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 4th St NW. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
