Marvin L. Kitchens, 83, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, went to Heaven on January 17, 2011. He was born on January 6, 1928 in McAllister Oklahoma to George Washington Kitchens and Lily May Smith. He was preceded in death by his wife Frances on January 1, 2007. He also joined his grandson, Justin Kitchens in Heaven as well. He is survived by his sons, Steve Kitchens of Bosque Farms and Keith Kitchens of Albuquerque. Marvin also leaves behind a grandson, Carl Thoma of Encino, California; and a great-grandson Avren Lee of Ladonia, Texas. During his life, Marvin enjoyed hunting and fishing in New Mexico, was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Albuquerque and was a member of Hoffmantown Church for over fifty years. Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Thursday, January 20, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at French - Lomas Chapel. Funeral services will follow on Friday, January 21 at 2:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park next to his wife, Frances.
