Melcor Garcia was born January 25, 1946 in Albuquerque, NM. He passed away Saturday, January 15, 2011 at his home. He was a lifelong resident of Carnuel, NM, last of the Crespin Garcia descendants of Domingo Garcia, who helped establish Carnuel and the Holy Child Church. Melcor is survived by his wife of 39 years, Corina, of the family home; children, Anthony Garcia, Robert Garcia; granddaughter, Bernadette Garcia, all of Carnuel, NM; nephews, Joe Apodaca and Lawrence Martinez; as well as other family and friends who loved and will miss him. Melcor enjoyed hunting, spending time with his family, and going to the casinos. Services will be held at Holy Child Catholic Church in Carnuel, NM. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the old cemetery.
