Robert G. Green "Bob" died on Monday, January 10, 2011 in the comfort of his home where family and Vista Care Hospice had cared for him as he fought in the courageous battle with cancer. He was 73. He was born in Crockett, Texas on September 28, 1937 to Sam C. and Exerv (Grubbs) Green. In 1973 he was hired by Public Service of New Mexico (PNM) in Albuquerque, NM and retired in 1999. Riverside Funeral Home handled the cremation, Family held their own private memorial on Saturday, January 15, 2011 in the home he and his wife shared and raised their family. A memorial to New Mexico Cancer Center (in memory of Robert G. "Bob" Green) has been decided. And maybe sent directly to the center at 4901 Lang Ave. N.E., Albuquerque, NM 87109 or to the family home at 5800 Corona N.E. Albuquerque, N.M. 87113. He is survived by his wife Darlene of the home; sons, Darrell and wife Ronda of Rio Rancho, NM, Rusty and wife April of Lebanon, MO, Ricky of the home; daughter Melissa Livingston of Gold Beach, Oregon; 13 grandchildren: Deelynn (Green) Townes, Josh Green, Sam Green, Amanda and husband Steve Hedgepeth, Ian Davis, Jacob Green, Maxwell Green, Courtney Green, Taylor Powell, Elizabeth Green, Jordyn, Jessie and Josh Rothwell; He is also survived by his brother Sammy Green and wife Glenda of Woodston, KS; and his sister Molene Hartzler of Broken Arrow, OK. Also one uncle John R. Grubbs of Wells, Texas; many nieces and nephews and cousins and friends.
