Louis F. Sanchez, 53, born and raised in Albuquerque, NM passed away January 12, 2011 surrounded by loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Jose M. Sanchez; his mother Corina R. Sanchez; his brother Dennis Sanchez; and his sister Gloria Saks. Louis is survived by his son Daniel Ian Sanchez currently attending University of Texas San Antonio; three sisters, Juanita Saavedra and husband Eliseo from Albuquerque, Odilia (Lila) Gonzales and husband Delfino from Bosque Farms, and Celina Sanchez-Crowell and husband Anthony from Portland, OR; and five brothers, Ramon Sanchez and wife Glenda from Meeker, OK, Maurice Sanchez and wife Mary from Albuquerque, Speedy Sanchez from Albuquerque, Tony Sanchez and wife Linda from Pflugerville, TX, Jonathan Sanchez and wife Linda from Albuquerquel Louis is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Louis worked for Southwest Airlines for 23 years. Louis loved watching sports, especially football and basketball. Louis was proud of Daniel's personal and academic accomplishments. Services will be held at St Therese Little Flower Church, 3424 4th Street NW in Albuquerque, with a viewing at 6:30 p.m., on Friday, January 14, 2011 and followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 9:30 a.m., also St. Therese Little Flower Church. Louis will be buried alongside his mother, father, and brother in Las Nutrias, NM on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 12:00 noon. The Sanchez family would like to recognize Southwest Airlines and staff for their tremendous love and family support through this difficult time for Louis. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Louis' name for Southwest Airlines Ronald McDonald house.
