Obituary for LOCKE

George D. Locke, 72, passed away on January 12, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Betty; five children Teresa Cockerill, Doug, Richard, Rodney and Greg Locke; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was an electronics engineer; he served his country in the USAF; and he was very active with the Atomic Energy Museum. George had a love of photography and story telling and was a docent at El Rancho de Las Golondrinas. George had a heart transplant 17 years ago and was a strong advocate for organ donation. Special thanks are given to the family of Sue Brown and the late Gene Brown for his 17 years of life. Services will be Friday, January 14, 2011, 2:00 p.m., at French University Chapel with Col. Richard Toliver USAF Ret. officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Mexico Donor Services, 1609 University Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102. French 1111 University Chapel 505-843-6333
