Obituary for HOLLOWAY

Dan Holloway passed away suddenly on January 7, 2011. He was born on July 7, 1955, lived throughout the country until he settled in Albuquerque in 1975. Dan was beloved by all who knew him because of his humor, compassion and intelligence. Anyone who came in contact with Dan felt immediately drawn to him, were comfortable and felt special when they were with him. He had many interests including all things technical, any gadget, comedy, sports, photography, travel and astronomy. His entire career was at Sandia National Laboratories, where he was recruited from college in Georgia. He loved his job and often felt that he was allowed to play all day and get paid to do so. He had a continuous hunger for learning about the latest technology and was generous in sharing everything he learned. He is survived by his wife, Roxanne; his mother, Lois Holloway; sister, Candace Smith; brothers, John and Mark Holloway; daughter, Rachael and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul. A memorial Service will be held 4:00 p.m., Thursday, January 13, 2011 at French ~ Lomas Chapel.
