GySgt Peter Joseph Gallegos USMC, age 34, died at home in San Diego, CA on Wednesday, December 22, 2010. Pete honorably served three tours overseas for his country, yet lost his hardest battle to cancer. Pete is survived by his wife, Yumi; son, Eddie; and daughter, Mia, all residents of San Diego, California; his father, Mike Gallegos; sisters, Marguerite, Monica, and Nicole; and brothers, Anthony and Mark. Pete was preceded in death by his mother, Rita. Born June 18, 1976 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Pete lived in San Diego, California and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1994 until his passing. He was a loving husband, father, son, and brother and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Friends may visit French ~ Wyoming Chapel Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 30, 2010, 10:00 a.m., at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming NE.
