John (Johnny) Ramirez, age 61, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away on December 23, 2010. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Patricio and Ventura; brother, Julian, and nephews, Anthony and Lawrence. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Tillie; children, Denise and Mark, wife, Jessica; grandchildren, Arianna, Adrian, Marissa, and Shelyse; brothers, Martin, wife, Virginia, Lorenzo, wife, Phyllis, Patricio, Jessie, wife, Erlinda; sisters, Mercy Portillo, husband, George, and Rosemary Rodarte; sister-in-law, Priscilla Ramirez; and many nieces and nephews. Johnny was a very proud union member of the plumbers and pipefitters local union 412, and a huge Lobo and Los Angeles Dodger fan. He was also proud to be a member of the New Mexico Air National Guard. Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, December 28, 2010, 7:00 p.m., at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, 2005 Plaza NW. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, 10:00 a.m., at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith NE.
