Queento L. "Tex" Vandi passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at his home in Albuquerque, NM. He is survived by his wife, Donna; daughter, Carla Brown of Albuquerque; son, Mark Vandi and wife, Cyndi of Los Lunas; two grandchildren, Tiffany Wright and Jarrett Vandi and wife, Lorretta; and six great-grandchildren, William, Riley, Jordyn, Allyssa, Addisson, and Josh. Tex was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and his beloved grandson Luke. He was born on January 20, 1922 in Lehigh, IA to Enrico and Matilda Vandi. Tex loved New Mexico weather, turquoise and silver, stock market, fishing, traveling and family get-togethers. He worked for Sandia Laboratories for 32 years, retiring in 1984. Tex was a kind person whose presence will be missed.
