Annie M. Rooyakkers, daughter of Antone and Anne Schuijers was born December 6, 1928 in Bergem, Holland and died at her home in Albuquerque on December 20, 2010. She emigrated to the United States with her husband and two sons in 1956 under the Eisenhower Immigration Act. Her youth was cut short by the German Invasion of Holland with Annie's teen years spent helping her family to survive. Annie was devoted to her home and family and was passionate about her garden. Annie is survived by her devoted husband Bill; sons, Tony his wife Cathy, Frank and wife Tina; grandsons, Kris, Erik and Steve; brother, Tony; sisters, Yo, Maria and Rickie(all live in Holland). She was preceded in death by her parents, brother's; Albert and Andre, sister; Betsy. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the Newman Center, 1815 Las Lomas NE at 1:30 p.m. Internment will take place in Santa Fe at the Veteran Memorial Cemetery.
