Obituary for DURAN

Herman Duran, age 51, beloved father, son, and brother, passed away Monday, November 29, 2010. He was a life long resident of Albuquerque, NM. Herman served his country in the Iraqi Freedom prior to retiring from the New Mexico Air National Guard. He also retired from PNM after 24 years of service; and was currently employed by the New Mexico Gas Company. He was a member of the American Legion Post #69. Herman will fondly be remembered as loving and helpful person to all. Herman is survived by his precious son who he loved and adored so much, Nathan Duran; Nathan's mother, Madeline; his loving parents, Romeo and Betty Duran; his brothers and sister, Florentino Duran and wife Sheryl, William Duran and wife Vickie, Lucille Duncan and husband Larry; several nieces, nephews, Godchildren, other relatives and a host of friends. Herman will be greatly missed by all. A rosary will be recited Monday at 7:00 p.m., at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 9502 Fourth Street NW. Service of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 9:00 a.m., also at the Church. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Casket Bearers will be Robert Duran, Marcus Duran, Michael Duran, Max Chavez, Juan Chavez, and Charles Chavez.
