Mary P. Chavez, our beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, went to her heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 in Albuquerque, at the age of 81. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tiofilo and Trinidad Perea; her husband, Frank Chavez; her brothers, Ignacio, Tomas, Robert; and her sister, Delilia. Mary's survivors include son, Aaron Chavez; brothers, Teofilo (TC), and Richard Perea; her sisters, Filomena Cordova, Margarita Cline and Victoria Werner; as well as several nieces and nephews, other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. Services will be held at San Ysidro Catholic Church, in Corrales, on Monday December 6, 2010. A Rosary will be recited at 9:15 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will then take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to San Ysidro Catholic Church, PO Box 182.
