David Yazell, 87, resident of Albuquerque since 1963, passed away November 27, 2010 at home. He was born in Champlain, IL, October 16, 1923. He is survived by his wife of 20 years Madaline; one step-daughter Julie and husband Kelby Nowotny; one grandchild Alora; Two daughters: Melody Brashear and husband Warren of Gallup, NM, Lucinda Boddy and husband Terry of Mesa, AZ. by his previous marriage; four grandchildren: Kimblery and Jerry Higginson, Guy and Christa Morgan, Amanda and Brian Koopman, April Morgan and fiance Brian McCoy; and six great-grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his first wife Elizabeth; his dad; mother; and brother. He was in the Marines for ten years, then worked for the Santa Fe Railroad and MONY insurance and investments. He was active in church and community activities. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ronald McDonald's House, 1011 Yale SE. Service will be held Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 10:00 a.m., at the LDS Haines Ward Chapel, 5709 Haines NE with visitation one hour prior to services.
