Obituary for WILSON

Robert L. Murray Wilson, 69, finished his journey of life on November 24, 2010 after a brief illness. He was a retired mathamatics professor, spoke many languages, played many instruments and self published ten of his poetry books. He taught in various schools in the Albuquerque area, Zuni High School, Bernallio High School and at Vista Academy in California. His last teaching positions were at SIPI, Southwestern Indian Polytecnic Institute, TVI and UNM. Robert showed great character and spiritual guidance that shaped the way he lived his life to fullest. He was always learning and experimenting with new ideas and concepts of life and had a great sense of humor. His influence in the world will be greatly missed. He was a son, brother, husband, father and step-father, uncle and pop pop to his grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Petal Thompson, he is surived by his wife Gloria Ann; son Talib; daughter Sofia; and his step-children and their spouses "Thomas" and Carmela Tharnish and their children Delia, Kailee and Evan, "Tony" and Angela Tharnish and her children, "Tammra" and Jerry Gibson and their children Zachary and wife Kathy, Tyler and Jasmine, "Terry" and Melanie Tharnish and their children Terrance and Gabriel, and extended family.
