Alice J. Gonzales, age 59 of Albuquerque, passed away on November 25, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. Mrs. Gonzales is survived by her husband, Alfred S. Gonzales of Albuquerque; her son, Fred Gonzales and his wife Carey of Albuquerque; her daughter, Michelle Gonzales-Shiver and her husband, Aaron of Albuquerque; her son, Tony Gonzales of Albuquerque; three grandchildren, Jonathon Gonzales, Lena Gonzales, and Nicholas Shiver, all of Albuquerque; one sister, Gerry Sechrist of Albuquerque; one sister-in-law, Lucy Martinez of Rio Rancho; nephews David Sechrist, Ryan Sechrist, Jeff Sechrist, Edward Martinez and Jazael Martinez; nieces, Jennifer Martinez and Veronica Howard and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Martinez Jr. and Tillie (Valdez) Martinez, and her brother, Edward Martinez III. After 18 years of employment at Intel, Alice retired in 2002. For the past four years she was working at Verizon Wireless. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m., at The Shrine of St. Bernadette on Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Visitation will be at French ~ Lomas Chapel on Monday, November 29, 2010 starting at 4:00 p.m., with a Rosary at the French ~ Lomas Chapel at 6:00 p.m. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
