Chester "Chet" Lindsey, 75, a resident of Albuquerque for over 20 years, passed away Monday, November 15, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, LeAnn; children, Tanya Rudd and husband, Delbert of Post, TX, Mitch Lindsey and wife, Dorothy of Ft. Worth, TX, Toni McAdams and husband, Weldon of Abilene, TX and Patricia Carroll and husband, Michael of Albuquerque; eleven grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brother, Melvin Lindsey and wife, Bobbie of Abilene, TX; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends. Chet was born on December 14, 1934 in Lubbock, Texas and graduated from Spur High School in Spur, TX where he was the quarterback on the football team. He was in the retail grocery business for over 50 years and was affiliated with Allsup's Convenience Stores for over 20 years. At the time of his illness, he was employed by ATA Retail Services of California. Chet was an avid golfer and loved hunting and fishing. He was a devoted servant of the Lord and a long-time member of Mountainside Church of Christ. Chet touched the lives of everyone who knew him and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be deeply missed. Friends and family may visit French ~ Wyoming Chapel on Thursday, November 18, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Services will be held at Mountainside Church of Christ, 12300 Indian School Rd. NE, Friday, November 19, 2010, 11:00 a.m., with Alan Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers will be Jerry Patton, Jim Poland, Rick Hankins, Bill Batie, Jim Costanzo, and Marion Simone. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ron Griego, Jeff Hanson, Isaac Hawley, Peter Hernandez, Daniel Lopez, and Joe Espinoza.
