Obituary for CHAVEZ

Blas Chavez, 66, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, November 1, 2010. Blas was born in Los Chavez on November 12, 1943. Blas enjoyed fishing, camping and loved to watch wrestling and football Go Redskins!; but above all Blas adored his family and enjoyed spending all his time with his loving wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Blas is survived by his devoted wife Rosalind of 47 years; daughters Gloria Roybal and husband Robert, Yvette Baros and husband Ben; sons Blas Chavez Jr. and wife Tina, Lawrence Chavez and wife Norma; grandchildren Blas Chavez III and fiancee Monique Roybal, Janet Roybal, Lawrence Chavez, Leonard Chavez, Eric Chavez and girlfriend Chyenne Montoya, Robert Roybal, Samantha Baros, Johnny Chavez, Donny Chavez, Benjamin Baros, Antonio Chavez, Andres Chavez; great-grandchildren Czarina Chavez, Mystique Chavez; sisters Irene Vigil and husband Joe, Mary Garcia and husband Diego, Josie Saiz and husband Paul, Dora Gonzales and husband Gilbert and his brothers Sonny Chavez and wife Mabel, Andres Garcia and wife Denise and numerous other family and friends. Blas was preceded in death by his parents Emilio and Tillie Chavez; and siblings Triny Marquez, Gilbert Chavez, Vina Chavez, Mercy Adams and Galli Aragon. Blas will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A Visitation will take place in the Chapel of Angels at Garcia Mortuary Thursday November 4, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a reciting of the Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m.; final Viewing will be at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW, Friday November 5, 2010 at 8:30 a.m. with Mass to begin at 9:00 a.m.; Interment to follow Mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers are Blas Chavez III, Lawrence Chavez, Leonard Chavez, Benjamin Baros, Robert Roybal and Eric Chavez; Honorary bearers Johnny Chavez, Donny Chavez, Antonio Chavez and Andres Chavez.
