Charles B. Desimone, 83, died October 28, 2010. Charles was the dedicated husband to his beloved wife, Martha Desimone. He is also survived by his daughter, Frances Steinke and husband, Ralph; stepson, Charles Long; grandchildren, Tracy Steinke Abraham and husband Mark, and Joshua Long; his great-grandchildren, Luke, Katie and Ella Abraham, Robert and Callie Long; and many other family and friends. Mr. Desimone served during WW II and the Korean War in the United States Navy. He also served during the Vietnam era in the United States Air Force before retiring from the Air Force in 1973. Charles was a member of the American Legion Post 49 and the Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. A memorial service will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery Shelter on Tuesday, 3:00 pm, November 2, 2010. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 31, 2010 to greet the family.
