Carlos F. Ramirez, 88, died October 20, 2010 at his home of natural causes. Carlos was born December 3, 1921 in Logan, NM to Jacob and Manuelita Ramirez. He was a hard working rancher and later served in the United States Army. Carlos also worked for the Rock Island Railroad and retired as a concrete finisher. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Cleo Ramirez; his children Charlie Ramirez and wife Sandra, Elsie Carrillo and husband Frank, Theresa Prado and husband Mike, Frankie Ramirez and wife Terry, Mary Miranda and husband Pete, Josie Vigil, and Eddie Casaus. Carlos was also loved by 18 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. His strength will live on with those he loved, as Jesus said, "Congratulations to the person who has toiled and found life" - Gospel of Thomas. Services will be held at Queen of Heaven Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave. Alb, NM 87109 with a Rosary on Oct. 26, 2010 at 7:30pm and a Mass on October 27, 2010 at 10:00am. Final resting place will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
