Leslie Walter Williams was born in Ridgefield, WA in 1925 and grew up in Twin Falls, ID. After high school he entered the Naval ROTC program at UCLA. After a 27 year career in the US Navy, retiring as Lieutenant Commander, he moved his family, wife Rosemary (Pat) and nine children to St. Paul, MN and entered the teaching profession. In 1986 he retired from teaching and moved to Oxnard, CA where he remarried and enjoyed a successful real estate career. In 1992 he and his wife Kathryn retired in Rio Rancho, NM. Leslie is survived by his wife Kathryn; daughters, Laura Stone, MN; Maureen Fleming, NY; Clare Csziek, MN; Tara Fortune, MN; Lisa Caldron, MN, and Catherine Szyman, CA; sons, James Williams, MN; Patrick Williams, MN and Michael Williams, CA, and step-children Lezlianne Pope, NM; Chris Gustavson, NM and Greer Gustavson, CA, and 32 grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
