Jean Smurlo, 87, a resident of Albuquerque for 32 years went to be with our Lord and her husband on Friday, October 8, 2010. She is survived by her daughters, Ann Smurlo-Warren and husband Bill and Mary Pat Jones and husband, Mike all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Megan Angus, Will Warren, Brent Jones and Seth Jones; great grandchildren, Mia and Jackson Angus; brothers, Bill Case and Tom Case; sisters, Pat Stafford and Cara Milks. Jean will be remembered as giving, a hard worker, and dedicated to her family. She showed her true strength through her three year battle with lymphoma, demonstrating grace and the will to serve others. Jean's faith in Christ was her life's foundation. She will be deeply missed and is greatly loved. Per Jean's request, no services will be held. She will be joining her husband, Walter at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Jean requested on her behalf, that a special thanks and gratitude be extended to everyone who served her with kindness through her battle with cancer.
