Anthony Joseph Eckel, 90, a resident of Rio Rancho NM since 1978 passed away October 3, 2010. He is survived by his wife Mary Eckel; Two cousins, Walter McReady of Pennsylvania and Mary Schoenfeld of New Jersey. He was preceded in death by his parents. Anthony was an active member of VFW Post 5890 serving as Past District Commander, Past District ll Commander and Past Post Commander. A visitation will be 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Daniels Family Funeral Services Sara Road Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE. Rio Rancho, NM. A Rosary will be recited 10:00 a.m., Wednesday October 6, 2010 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1501 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations made be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Church.
