Lois Marie Crable, 78, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2010 at home, surrounded by her family. She was born July 7, 1932 to Robert and Cora Mae Hicks in Tryon, Oklahoma. Lois has been a resident of Albuquerque for 52 years. She was a great wife, mother, and grandmother. Lois enjoyed fishing and trips to the mountains. Her home was always filled with the joy of kids, if not her own, her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin S. Crable in 2000. She is survived by four daughters, Vicky Jackson, Leslie Lancaster and husband Randy, Luella Dorcas and husband Eric, Penny Russell and husband Bucky; two sons, Tommy Crable and wife Cheryl, and Roy Crable; ten grandchildren, Bobby Lee and wife Veronica, David Lee and wife Ellen, Parker and Preston Lancaster, Corey Dorcas, Mandy and Riley Russell, Semele Crable, Randy Crable, and Stephanie Crable; three great-grandchildren, Bobby, Shaylynn, and Fisher Lee; as well as many other family and friends who loved and will miss her. A Visitation will be held in the chapel of Direct Funeral Services on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St NW, Abq, NM 87107. 505-343-8008.
