Obituary for CLARK

Ronald Brock Clark, 69, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico since 1944, passed away into the loving arms of the Lord Sunday, September 26, 2010. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Clark, brother, Milton Jr. Clark and brother, Douglas Clark. He is survived by his brother, Ed Clark. He was a contractor and builder of homes and apartments. He became a successful real estate investor and land developer. He was highly respected and loved by the business community. He lived a life full of excitement and adventure. He was a hot air and helium balloonist. In 1981 he was one of the four man crew to accomplish the 1st Transpacific balloon crossing in the Double Eagle V. He was instrumental in the opening of the Anderson/Abruzzo balloon museum. He loved to travel, laugh, and eat good food, ski and ride rollercoasters with his children and grandchildren. Most important, he was married to the love of his life, Shirley M. Clark for over 51 years; He was an amazing father to son, Ronald M. Clark and wife, Sherry; son, Scott B. Clark and wife, Pamela; and daughter, Christie L. Humphrey and husband, Ron; The pride and joy of his life were his eight grandchildren: Amanda, Jillian, Shane, Cameron, Ryan, Alexis, Dylan and Brock. Ron Clark lived life to the fullest and he loved the Lord, his friends and his family with all his heart. He will be dearly missed. Services will be held Friday, October 1, 2010, 1:00 p.m., at Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna NE, with Skip Heitzig officiating. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cameron Humphrey, Ryan Humphrey, Ron Humphrey, Shane Clark, Gene Wilkins, Mike Anglin, Don Grady, Larry King and Mark Seider. Friends may visit French ~ Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, Thursday, September 30, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spina Bifida in care of Carrie Tingley Foundation. at 700 Lomas Blvd NE.
