Miguel "Mike" Silva, age 86, a 60 year resident of Albuquerque passed away on Monday, September 20, 2010. Miguel was a member of the American Legion Post 49, VFW Post 401, Order of the Purple Heart, Disabled American Veterans, St. Vincent de Paul and Knights of Columbus 4th degree. He was a long-time parishioner of Holy Ghost Parish. Miguel was born to the late Juan and Juanita (LaGrange) Silva on July 8, 1924 in Socorro, NM. Miguel was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Silva; two sisters, Viola Rodriguez, Mary Rose Gonzales. He is survived by his wife, Betty Silva; three sons, Michael Silva and wife, Dolores, William Silva and wife, Maggie, Philip Silva; one daughter, Melissa Anderson and husband, Bruce; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Albert Silva and wife Emma; two sisters, Delia Trujillo, Emerlinda Monget; sister-in-law Mary Silva; brother-in-law Joe Gonzales and several nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Daniels Family Funeral Services Palm Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church with interment to follow at 3:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
