Karen Coleman, age 66, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother was called to her heavenly home by the Lord on September 20, 2010. Karen was born in Boulder, CO on January 8, 1944. A resident of Albuquerque, NM for 46 years, she was a dedicated member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where she was a catechism teacher. She worked as a unit secretary at Kaseman Hospital for 30 years. She was president of the Parent Teacher Association at MacArthur Elementary School and a dedicated Valley Viking fan. Karen was preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Edith Conway. She is survived by her husband of 46 years: Al Coleman; son, Joe Coleman and wife, Cathy of Albuquerque; daughter: Edy Smith and husband, Robert of Port Orange, Florida; son: Jim Coleman of Albuquerque; her precious grandchildren: Tiffany, Caitlyn and Luke Smith; and Shayla, Bo and Trey Colman; sister: Patricia Givens and husband, John of Albuquerque and uncle: Harold Conway; nieces and nephews: Richard Givens (Peggy), Lori Myers (Kip), John Givens (Cristina), and Kelli Lemken (Billy) and all those who knew her, loved her and felt like they were best friends with her. Visitation is Thursday from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
