Frank L. Martinez, born October 4, 1926 to Marcos and Eufemia Martinez went to be with his Lord on Saturday, September 11, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Benita Martinez; his daughters Gloria Giron and husband Rick, Yolanda Flowers and husband Wade; his grandchildren Jamie Matthews, Krissy Matthews, Richard Giron II and wife Alisa, Mollie Matthews; and two great grandchildren Neesa and Amari Anaya; his siblings Marcos Martinez, Mary Padilla, Henry Martinez, Rosie Montoya; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his eldest brother Mike Martinez. A Rosary will be recited by Lita Pino on Monday evening September 13, 2010 at 7:00 pm in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 9:00 a.m., Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary Parish, 5415 Fortuna Rd, NW. Burial Ceremonies will take place at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM at 1:30 pm. The pallbearers will be all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers are his sons-in-law Rick Giron, Wade Flowers and Wendell Matthews. Frank was a Korean War Veteran and worked for the Forest Service and Civil Service until he retired in 1991. He was full of life and laughter. He loved to play his accordian and loved wood carving as well. And most of all, he loved his family. He will be dearly missed.
