Obituary for CHESSER

Bess L. Arisman Chesser, age 67, a resident of Belen, passed away on July 27, 2010. She was a member of the Lions Club International, First Baptist Church of Belen and Friends of the Library in Belen. Bess was a caregiver all her life. She became a Licensed Vocation Nurse in 1974. Bess received her Registered Nurses's Degree in 1977. She worked as a nurse for many years in the four corners area and retired from Four Corners Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Aztec, NM in 2003. Bess was preceded in death by her husbands, John C. Arisman and Charles C. Chesser. She is survived by her brother, Floyd Holder; sisters, Maxine Crawford and Mae Cline; son Roy William Arisman; daughter, Kendra J. Davis; daughter-in-law, Donna Gaunder; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Bess was laid to rest at Santa Fe National Cemetery. A celebration of Bess's life will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Belen, NM 401 Becker Ave. with Rev. Chris Whitney officiating.
