Nancy Sharon Sivage, age 61 of Albuqeurque ("Nanny" or "Nanny Girl" as she was referred to by her close friends and family) passed away August 4, 2010. Nancy was born February 16, 1949 in Morton Texas. She was raised in Portales, New Mexico until her adult years when she moved to Duncan, Oklahoma. She spent the last few years of her life in Albuquerque under the care of her family and in residence at Brookdale Place. Nancy was a special needs child who loved life - and loved her family even more. We pause to remember the joy she brought to everyone who knew her. We will always be blessed by her unconditional love and our lives are so much richer for the opportunity to be a part of her life. Nancy loved many activities. She was very accomplished as a special needs child having won several medals in the Special Olympics. But she really just enjoyed participating in various activities with her family and friends. Nancy loved to bowl, dance, work on crossword puzzles, play the organ and to go to the movies. She could watch the same movie over and over with the same enjoyment the last time she watched it as the first time - John Wayne and Elvis Presley were her two favorite entertainers. While Nancy was young she was boy crazy and jumped at any chance to meet a new boy or to dance with him. Nancy is survived by her brothers, David and wife Ella Sivage, Richard and wife Pam Sivage and Wayne Sivage. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. We will miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by her loving father and mother, Herbert and Viola Sivage. We can now rejoice in knowing that she is reunited with them today. Funeral services and burial will be held in Duncan, Oklahoma, where she will be reunited with her mother. Family will receive friends from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friday at Daniels Family Funeral Service, Wyoming Chapel.
