Ida Olivas, 99, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and long time resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 28, 2010. She is survived by her son Orlando Olivas and wife Rosalie of Ruidoso; daughter Orlinda Liss and husband Norman of Albuquerque; grandchildren Stephen and Angela Olivas and children Maria and Jacqueline Liss; great-grandchildren Julia, Kate E., Milan and Nadia; also siblings Louise Trujillo of Pueblo, CO and Clifford Samora and wife Louise of Pueblo, CO; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Olivas in 1983 and sisters Avelina Montano, Lucille Trujillo, Lucinda Salazar, Josephine Samora and Virginia Madril. Visitation will begin Sunday, August 1, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. at French Lomas Chapel followed by recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 2, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at The Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Road, NE.
