Obituary for KOEBERLE

Theodore (Ted) P. Koeberle passed away July 23, 2010. He was born July 7, 1932 in Tucumcari, NM. He was a resident of Cedar Crest, NM since 1991. Over the course of his lifetime he enjoyed success in multiple career fields and unselfishly gave of himself for the betterment of his family and his community. He was in the First Marine division during the Korean War. He attended the University of Colorado earning a degree in 1958. He was an engineer for the US Department of the Interior, residing in Alaska, Washington DC, Arizona, and Colorado. In 1966 he earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver. He practiced law in Colorado until he retired to New Mexico in 1991. In New Mexico, he was an Arbitrator Mediator. Ted was a member of several organizations. For over 50 years he was a Girl Scout, providing training for leaders and serving on the Board of Directors. He was a member of the Ghost Ranch Foundation and an Elder of the Presbyterian Church. Ted Koeberle is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jan Koeberle; and two daughters. Kris Koeberle and her husband Sandy Arthur of Port Orchard, WA, Karena Wells and her husband Dan Wells of Papillion, NE; grandchildren are: Ted Arthur of Washington, DC, Athena Wahlstrom and husband Dan of Port Orchard, WA, Sydney and Robyn Wells of Papillion, NE. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church, 1801 Montano RD NW. Ashes to be scattered by family and friends at a later date.
