Obituary for HAYOZ

Corinne Ediger Hayoz passed away July 5, 2010 in her home in Santa Fe from natural causes. Corinne was born in Mosquero, New Mexico on June 23, 1922, she lived most of her life in Mosquero where she retired as Harding County Health Clerk. She was preceded in death by her parents Emilio Gonzales and Juanita C de Baca Gonzales; and husband Edwin Ediger; husband August Hayoz; sisters, Amada G. Vigil, Ester Gonzales, Alice Gonzales, Clara G. Lloyd, brother Domingo Gonzales and grandson Dustin Sena. Corinne lived her last few years in Santa Fe to be near her children, Iris Sena (Herb) and Erik Ediger (Cricket Whipple); She is also survived by numerous children; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren of August Hayoz family; Her grandchildren Phillip Angel (Melissa) and Shakira Ediger (Adam Hughes); great-grandchildren Gabriel Sena, Addisyn Huges and Kathryn and Amanda Angel. She had many fond memories of friends and good times in Harding county, loved to tell stories of when she was a Harvey Girl and a Welder in the Ship Yards in California during WWII. She lived on the YNB Ranch as a child and began school in Rosebud and told us that as a young girl she rode horseback to Bueyeros to get the mail. In her later years she enjoyed her church, coffee, a cigarette, and a trip to the Casino. A service will be held at Santa Maria de La Paz Catholic Church in Santa Fe at 10:00 a.m. on Monday July 26, 2010 reception to follow.
