Richard Dale Scholz, 53, resident of Albuquerque, born August 24, 1956, in Decatur, IL passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Michelle; brothers, David Scholz, Charles Scholz, and Joseph Scholz and wife, Ann, along with nieces, nephews and extended family members. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Jean Marie Scholz. Richard received a Bachelors degree from St. John's in Santa Fe and a Masters in Education from Virginia Tech. He spent about 15 years teaching math to middle school students in Northern Virginia before he and Michelle moved to New Mexico. Richard worked for Sprint Telecommunications in Rio Rancho, and most recently for Fidelity Financial. Richard enjoyed singing with his church choir at Sandia Baptist Church in Albuquerque. He was a kind, patient man with a great sense of humor who will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at French, Lomas Chapel with interment taking place privately.
