Margarita (Margaret) Gonzales, 85, loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend was called home peacefully to heaven July 11, 2010. Margarita was born to parents, Melecia Apodoca and Andres Sisneros on September 27, 1924. She was a resident of Albuquerque since 1960. She is survived by her three daughters, Maria Gonzales, Crescencia C.L. Sherrod, and Diana Jonas and husband Dwight Jonas; sisters, Irene Sanchez, Maria Sena; and brother Andrew Sisneros; she has six grandchildren, Loretta Tapia, Linda Marquez, Bonnie Sherrod, Polly Austin, Chris Sherrod, and Tamara Jonas; eight great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She worked at Presbyterian Hospital, and retired after many years. She was a volunteer at the Highland Senior Center for 13 years. The Rosary will be held July 20, 2010 at 8:45 a.m. at St. Edwin Church, 2105 Barcelona SW. The celebration of Mass will follow with the burial. She is deeply loved, and will be greatly missed by all her friends and family.
