Charles "Tex" Felts resident of Santa Fe, Los Alamos and Albuquerque passed away on July 12, 2010. Tex was an educator, musician, music store owner, and barber shop singer. He was born in Dalhart, TX on August 30, 1931 and has lived in New Mexico since the late 1950's. Tex was preceded in death by his father Dick Felts. He is survived by his wife Karole Felts; daughter Keri Brinegar; son-in-law Michael Brinegar; son Charles Felts; daughter-in-law Carrie Felts; granddaughters, Kara and Carina; grandson Damon; sister Kayla Skelton; nieces and nephews; and mother Benna Tarter. Tex was greatly loved and will be sorely missed. He will be buried at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in a private service. A memorial celebration will be scheduled for August in Los Alamos.
