George M. Vossen (Junior) was born at home in East Union, Minnesota. He moved to Albuquerque in 1985 and passed away on June 30, 2010. Before he got sick he worked as a diesel mechanic. He enjoyed his work. He also enjoyed working on cars in his spare time helping people with their cars. People knew if they called George he would know how to fix their vehicles. He is survived by his wife Janice (Jan); his daughter Jacqueline (Jackie); and her husband John Utsey; his grandchildren, Jocelyn and Jasper Utsey. He was preceded in death by son Greg who died on June 22, 2010 who left behind two children, Roxanne and Jaynee Vossen; and his two sisters, Dolores Malzahn and Helen Pauly. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m., followed by the services, at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo Blvd. NE, Albuquerque 764-9963. And a reception will be held at First Christian Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
