Obituary for QUINTANA

Willie Quintana, 55, was born in Tucumcari, NM on February 2, 1955; raised in San Francisco and a resident of Albuquerque since 1989, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2010. Willie loved to go camping, hunting, fishing, sculpting, cooking, gardening and spending time with his family. Willie was a great father and enjoyed the challenges of building and repairing inside or outside the house. He loved his job at Tingley Coliseum and was an avid 49ers fan. Willie was very friendly, thoughtful, funny and was a compassionate and caring person. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cheryl; two children, Guillermo and Semona Quintana; siblings, Lizzy Quintana-Lamperti, Ronald Quintana, Donald Quintana, Yvonne Quintana, Leopold Quintana; and all of the Vigil in-laws; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Quintana; and his mother, Erma Ortiz Quintana. Rosary will be recited Thursday, July 8, 2010, 7:00 p.m., at French - University Chapel. Friends may visit French - University Chapel one hour prior to rosary. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 9, 2010, 10:30 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper NW.
