Obituary for SANDOVAL

Juanita E. Sandoval of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on July 4, 2010. She was born in Lordsburg, NM, July 24, 1932, where she was fondly known as "sister". She was preceded in death by her parents, Dolores and Cornelio Ozeta; by her husband, Juan M. Sandoval; and her brother, Valentine Silvas. From a young age, Juanita was always creative, resourceful and skillful with her hands. She made quilts, afghans, doilies and other crafts. She attended the New Mexico School for the Deaf where she excelled in art, home economics and sports. She could always light up a room with her smile and sense of humor. Juanita was a dedicated wife, mother and a loving grandmother. She is survived by her three children: Mike Sandoval and wife, Cindy, Sandra Sandoval and husband, Chris Nelson, Ronnie Sandoval and wife, Rosemary; granddaughters, Sara, Myra, Amelia, Marisa and Adrianna; two great-granddaughters, Abigail and Madeline; siblings, Barbara Guerrero, Josephine Chavez, Cressi De La Garza, Berna Arambula, Cornelio Ozeta Jr. and Frank Ozeta. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. A celebration of Juanita' s life will be held at Daniel's Funeral Home, Carlisle Chapel, 3113 Carlisle NE at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2010.
