Louis A. Tafoya, age 81, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2010. Louis was born to the late Adolpho and Flora (Barela) Tafoya on February 12, 1929. Louis liked to golf and was the owner and operator of Jerri's Tavern. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frankie and Solomon; two sisters, Lilly and Flora. He is survived by his four children, Ninon Tafoya, Louis Tafoya and wife Mini, Robert Tafoya, Fred Foster and wife Monica; five grandchildren, Michelle, Kristi, Louis III, Nicki, Margie; four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Jason, Victoria, Philip; one great-great-grandchild, Haley; sister Bobbie Montoya; and the mother of his children Anne Tafoya. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services Palm Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave. SE, with a prayer service to follow at 1:15 p.m. at Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale Blvd SE.
