Gene R. Lowrey, 76, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Lowrey; son, Phillip G. Lowrey of Albuquerque; daughter, Elaine Cleckler and husband, Grady of Littleton, CO; grandson, Christopher Lowrey and wife, Jen of Parker, CO; greatgrandchildren, Dominic and Braelyn Lowrey; and sister, Beverly Slade of Viroqua, WI. Gene served in the US Air Force for four years during the Korean Conflict. He worked for 30 years and retired from AT&T. A service will be held, Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at French - University Chapel. Friends may visit French - University Chapel, Monday, July 5, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Should friends desire, contributions may be made to the Animal Humane Association, 615 Virginia Street SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
