Obituary for BOWKER

Mary Vance Glascock Bowker entered into eternal life on Friday, June 25, 2010 at the age of 75. She had been battling cancer for more than a year. Mary was a native of New Mexico and passed peacefully in her home in Capitan with family and friends around her. She is survived by her brother Leaman Glascock; five children, John, Margaret, Karen, Marie and Morgan; two step-children Mary and Michael, and had 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews for whom she felt were her children as well. She had a special companion in John Van Marter who took great care of her for many years. Mary's family is forever grateful for his kindness and generosity. She led a full and active life dedicating most of her efforts to her family. She will be missed by all her family and many friends that she made across the world. Mary was the epitome of grace and beauty. She is now with her God and her late husband James Bowker. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, June 30th, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 1091 Mecham Dr., Ruidoso, New Mexico.
