Obituary for FOWLER

Glenn A. Fowler, 92, a resident of Albuquerque since 1946, died on Tuesday, June 8, 2010. Glenn was retired from Sandia Laboratories where he worked for more than 35 years. Born in Riverdale, CA, Glenn attended UC Berkeley. After graduating in 1941 with a BS in electrical engineering, he moved to MIT Radiation Laboratory to work on radar. In 1943, he was transferred to the Pentagon. Glenn was later recruited to work on the Manhattan Project at Los Alamos in 1945. Glenn was active in the local community while continuing his passion for the Boy Scouts and Philmont Scout Ranch. He was preceded in death by Mary Alice, his wife of 56 years; is survived by his children, Allan of Eureka Springs, AR, Bruce of Albuquerque, Carol of Colorado Springs, CO; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. No memorial service will be held. Should friends desire, the family requests donations to be made to the charity of your choice.
