John R. Linton 88, of Albuquerque, died on June 9, 2010, following a long illness. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty; four children, Mac, Paul, Dan (Anyuly) and his children, Marilyn, John, and Michael; and Liz and her children, Susie and Lisa; and sister Nona, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Benjamin and Nona May; two children, Thomas and Laura; and his brother, Frank. Mr. Linton served in the United States Army during World War II in Europe and received several decorations. The wake will be held Sunday, June 13, 2010 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at French Wyoming Chapel, 7121Wyoming Blvd N.E. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, June 14 beginning at 9:00 a.m., followed by Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Avenue N.E. in Albuquerque.
