Edward F. Vigil, Jr., born June 7, 1961, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010 in Albuquerque at the age of 49. Edward is survived by his parents, Edward and Cleo Vigil; sister, Janice Sandoval (Vincent); nephews, Thomas and Alex; children, Lawrence Vigil (Tisha), Monique Vigil; granddaughter, Destiny Vigil; grandfather, Max Martinez; aunts, Kate Garduno and Vangie Medina (Bob); uncles, Ray Vigil (Lala), Joe Vigil (Jay), and Tony Vigil (Judy); and very close cousins. Edward was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence Vigil; grandparents, Andreita Martinez, and Jose and Fedelia Vigil; uncle, Leroy Vigil; and cousin, Arthur Vigil. A Rosary for Edward will be recited on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010 also at Holy Rosary Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Vigil, Vincent Sandoval, Ray Vigil, Fabian Vigil, Gilbert Garduno, and George Garduno. Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Luna, Philip Gonzales, Rick Archuleta, Mel Mendoza, Andy Gallegos and K.C. Chavez. Services are in the care of: Salazar & Sons Mortuary 400 Third St. SW 247-4124
