Robert Edward Elkins, 65, a well known resident of Albuquerque passed away unexpectedly after a short illness on Tuesday, June 1, 2010. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Gonzales of Albuquerque; his life partner, Linda Champion; and her daughters, Lisa, Teri and Cristi of Albuquerque; sons, Dwane Elkins of Phoenix, AZ and Donald Elkins of Los Lunas; brothers, Kelley Elkins of Las Cruces, NM and Joe Elkins and wife, Gail of Everett, WA; grandchildren, Dwane Jr., Jenna, Justin, Nicholas and Ashley. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Leo Elkins; and son, David Leo Elkins. The family has invited his friends to a memorial visitation to be held in honor of Bob, on Monday, June 7, 2010 from 4 to 7 p.m. at French - University Chapel.
