Douglas Alan, age 62, died suddenly May 27, 2010, of heart failure in Jemez Springs, NM, where he has lived for several years and worked as a handyman. Formerly of Whittier and Montebello, CA, Doug is survived by his son, Busby B. Shuptrine, daughter-in-law, Sheila; grandchildren, Chance and Lauren, all of Los Alamitos, CA and siblings, Greg R. Shuptrine, of Sydney, Australia, and Candia Smith of Orinda, California. Doug served in the Army in Vietnam during the war after graduation from Montebello High School where he had many friends. His warmth and laughter will be missed by all, including his parents, Harry R. Shuptrine, of Whittier, and Mary Ellen Gregory, of San Juan Capistrano.
