Rose A. Knight passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on May 20, 2010 in Peoria, Arizona. Rose was born on 3/10/1925 in Gallup NM to Dominica and Louis Bortot Sr. "Rosie" as she was known by all, was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Edwin "Bud". Knight. She is survived by her daughters, Rosie Oldham (Anthony) of Peoria Arizona, Helen (Gigi) Bussey (deceased), Eddi Hoedebeck (Bill) of Phoenix AZ, Raeann Knight of Orangeville, CA; son, Edwin "Bud" Knight (Gayle) of Gallup NM; sisters Marguerite Rado, Mesa, AZ, Norene "Weenie" Tabor, Durango, CO; and brother, Louis "Duke" Bortot, Jr., Gallup, NM. Rosie had 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Rosie was known for her fun loving zest for life which included many cruises around the world with her dear friend Helen Radosevich and many others. She actively worked in her business, Knight Electric until the age 83. She will be missed by all who knew her and will always be loved. A memorial Rosary service will be held at Rollie Mortuary on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. followed by a reception at the Elks Lodge in Gallup NM at 6:00 p.m. Internment will be private on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Hillcrest Cemetery.
