Bill Dean, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 29, 2010. He is survived by loving wife of 58 years, Barbara; one son, Dennis Vickers and wife, Mary; six grandchildren, Kari, Russell, Shaun, Rebecca, Tyson, and Lacey; three great- grandchildren, Hailey, Alesia, and Hayden. He is preceded in death by his mother, Nellie McConnell; son, William Vickers. Bill was involved in Civil Service for over 40 years. He also enjoyed leather work, taking trips in his RV, and gardening. Bill was a very active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoyed working in the temple. He also served as Scout Master for the Boy Scouts where he helped mold the lives of many young men. A funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints North Valley Ward on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. A visitation will take place beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the church in the Relief Society Room.
